The Crichton Site - Building on a legacy
The Crichton is located approximately 2km south of Dumfries town centre. It is bounded to the east and west by Bankend Road and the B725 Glencaple Road, respectively.
There are four bus stops within The Crichton, all of which are within acceptable walking distance of the Business Park and Campus buildings. The existing bus service serving The Crichton is the D5 which provides a service of 20mins frequency between the town centre and The Crichton.
The Crichton site sits on 100 acres of parkland which is open to the public. The buildings are interconnected with public pathways which means navigating the site on foot is made very easy.
The site buildings and gardens are maintained by the Crichton Development Company. The Company’s success can be measured by the fact that the Crichton is now regarded as a ‘model’ regeneration project ,attracting six diverse national awards to date.
