On May 21st, Easterbrook was tranformed for the NHS Celebrating Excellence Awards. The glamorous event took place in order to recognise the hard work and effort put in by NHS employees from across the region. For the past few months, staff at all levels have been nominated across 11 categories and this was celebrated with a glamorous party, co-ordinated by CN EVENTS.
Many thanks to the team at CN Events who did a spectacular job and provided some great pics - we loved the pink detail, expecially the carpet.

"Choosing the venue was the easy part. As soon as we arrived at The Crichton Church and Easterbrook Hall our hearts were stolen.
Selecting our colour scheme wasn’t too difficult either – it had to pink, everything the bride to be owns seems to have a dash of pink in it somewhere.
However, that wasn’t enough, we wanted our wedding to have a bit more personality and decided upon a movie theme – why? Well, we have over 500 DVD’s and enjoy nothing more than spending the whole weekend snuggled up in front of the TV watching a classic trilogy or a heart warming romance........
After choosing our theme we then looked at music. All the music that will be played throughout the day (well apart from the wedding march) has appeared in a film. Next were the tables, each table will be named after planets from the Grooms favourite film of all time – Star Wars. The place card holders are movie clacker boards, the wedding favours are Wonka chocolate bars and we have a sweetie table with all the delightful treats you would expect to find on a visit to the cinema. Our closing piece for the day is the Oscars.
Just before leaving to go on our much awaited Honeymoon to Barbados, we are going to present guests with Oscars for made up categories such as ‘worst dance of the day’ etc.
We could have kept going all day with the movie themed items – we were like children writing our Christmas list to Santa! However, we didn’t want to loose the element that the venue brings to our wedding – a touch of class.
The icing on the cake though is our invites. We have produced a DVD that has been designed to look just like an actual DVD case. We named our movie ‘I Do’, had some professional photographs taken, wrote the copy and handed it over to the best man who happens to be a graphic designer. He produced the cover, an inlay card with all the details of the wedding, and a movie style ticket to send back.
We then set to work on the DVD itself. On the DVD, guests will find links to hotels, how to get to the event, contact details, further information about Easterbrook and wedding gift details. Along with this we produced a two minute trailer to build up the anticipation of the day. So far the comments from everyone who has received the DVD have been overwhelming. CLICK HERE TO VIEW
On return from our Honeymoon, We intend to send all our guest another DVD which will consist of footage from our special day.
We hope that going that little extra mile for our guests will mean the day will be as magical for them as it will for us".
