As a soloist, Callum has played in many locations in the United Kingdom and abroad. He was honoured to be asked to pipe at the Houses of Parliament during the Burns Bi-Centenary celebrations in 1996 commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns. A keen Burnsian, Callum is also past president of the Hole i the Wa Burns Club and also Club Piper in The Dumfries Burns Howff Club, http://www.burnshowffclub.org/.
