* Is there a minister in the Church I can use?
The Crichton Church is a non-denominational church and therefore has no congregation or designated minister. The number for the local Chaplaincy scheme is 01387 279 954 for Rev Colin Sutherland, who will arrange a minister for you.
* Do you allow us to bring our own wine and pay corkage?
We do not allow corkage. We can however work with our suppliers to source a wine of your preference if you are unable to find a suitable option from our wine list.
* Can I have fireworks?
Yes you can! There are a few conditions though: They must be set off before 11pm by a responsible person. The site for this is the pitch across from Easterbrook at the back of the carpark. Other guests must be taken into consideration. We also advise that you take out event insurance, as Easterbrook cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damaged caused as a result of the fireworks. Please see wedding insurance page.
* Where can I get married?
There are several venues that are perfect for your ceremony. A religious ceremony can take place in either the church or the venue its self or in our rock gardens. Civil ceremonies can either take place in the rock gardens or Easterbrook.
* Do I need events insurance?
We recommend that you carefully consider insurance for your wedding. Please see the Event Insurance page for more details. This will protect you for many different eventualities.
* What décor can I use in the church?
Pedestals of flowers are acceptable as are bows on chairs. Any other décor must be discussed with the Events office. Confetti must be bio-degradable and can only be used outside the venue.
* Can we supply our own caterers?
We have a team of highly skilled chefs in house that will be delighted to chat to you regarding your requirements. We do not allow outside caterers onto the premises.
* What do you provide for the tables?
All our menu prices are inclusive of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cream linen table cloths and napkins. We also have table centre pieces that you can hire.
* Can you help us book accommodation?
Yes we are happy to help you organise this. Please see our accommodation page for full details of the options available to you.
* Do you have a cake stand and knife we can use?
Yes we have several round and square bases and 2 tiered stands you can use. At your 6 month meeting be sure to discuss this with your wedding planner so that the correct one can be reserved for you and in the meantime you can view the cake stand and centrepiece section of the website.
* Can I play my own music in the Church and Easterbrook?
If you would like to play your own music during your ceremony or reception, then we are happy to work with you to provide this. Music can be supplied by CD or ipod, just let us know when you want it played and your Wedding Co-ordinator will take care of it for you.
